Homematch in ChatGPT
Explore homes through a conversation. Browse property cards, compare up to three homes and keep your favourites and feed in your Homematch account.
How the connection works
- Once the Homematch plugin is installed in ChatGPT, choose Connect.
- Sign in to Homematch or create an account, then review and approve the requested access.
- Search in ChatGPT and save a home or add a search to your feed when you want to keep it. Return to Homematch to continue.
Try asking
- Find rental homes in Zürich under CHF 2,500 with at least 3 rooms.
- Find homes to buy in Bern below CHF 900,000.
- Compare these three homes, then save my favourite.
A Homematch account is required. This connection supports property search, details, comparisons, saved homes and your feed. It cannot contact advertisers, book viewings, submit applications or process payments. Adding a search to your feed does not turn on alerts.
Connected AI assistants and your data
Connecting an AI assistant you choose, for example ChatGPT by OpenAI or Claude by Anthropic, is optional. After you sign in to Homematch, the consent screen shows the app requesting access, the account and the permissions you are authorizing. The assistant receives an access token; your Homematch password is not shared with the assistant, the Homematch plugin in it or its embedded property view.
Depending on the permissions you approve and the tools you use, Homematch returns your account identifier and display name, public property information, and your saved homes, feed and destinations to the assistant. Requested save and remove actions update the same account you use on web and mobile. Private application documents, messages, payment details and internal moderation data are not exposed by these tools.
Homematch receives the tool requests needed to perform these actions, such as locations, filters and property identifiers. The connection does not provide Homematch with your full conversation with the assistant. Information returned to the assistant is handled by its provider (for example OpenAI for ChatGPT or Anthropic for Claude) under the terms, privacy policy and data controls that apply to your account with that provider.
Homematch stores the authorization and tokens needed to keep the connection working. You can disconnect each assistant in Homematch account settings to revoke its further access. Disconnecting keeps your saved homes, feed and destinations and does not erase information already present in the assistant. Manage that information in the assistant; the Homematch privacy policy explains your rights for data held by Homematch.
