Terms and Conditions

Homematch is operated by peak intelligence AG (CHE-480.408.752), Im Langacher 42, 8805 Richterswil, Switzerland. These terms cover your use of homematch.ch and the Homematch app.

By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

Definitions

• Advertiser — A person or company that publishes rental listings on the platform.
• Listing — A property listing displayed on Homematch.
• User — Anyone with a registered Homematch account.
• User profile — Your account on the platform, protected by username and password.

Your Account

To use Homematch, you need an account. Registration requires an email, username, and password. Registration is free of charge.

You may supplement your profile with information commonly required for rental applications — personal details, employment, residence history, household composition, and supporting documents. All profile data except your username can be modified or deleted at any time. Your data remains private until you submit an application to a landlord.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and must not share them with third parties. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, notify us immediately via the contact form or email. We are not responsible for unauthorized access caused by shared or compromised credentials.

In the event of account misuse, we reserve the right to block or delete the account without compensation.

Platform Features

Homematch provides the following services free of charge:

• Property recommendations — A personalized feed of rental listings that improves as you use the platform.
• Search and discovery — Browse and filter properties by location, price, size, and other criteria.
• Messaging — Communicate directly with landlords and agencies through the platform.
• Application dossier — Build a digital rental application with your profile data and documents, and submit it to advertisers.
• Reference checks — Request verification of your employment or previous tenancy through the platform.
• Bookmarks and notifications — Save listings and receive updates about new properties and application status changes.

We aim to keep the platform available around the clock, but downtime for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control may occur. Keep your browser and the app updated for the best experience.

Messaging

The platform provides a messaging system for communication between users and advertisers in the context of rental applications. Messages are stored on our servers and are accessible to both parties as well as to the platform for support and moderation purposes.

When using the messaging system, you agree to:

• Communicate respectfully and in good faith
• Not send unsolicited commercial messages or spam
• Not share misleading, fraudulent, or harmful content
• Not use the messaging system for purposes unrelated to the platform
• Not harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users

We reserve the right to review messages in the event of a reported violation and to take appropriate action, including restricting or terminating access.

Documents & Reference Checks

You may upload documents to your profile to support rental applications. You are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of all documents and information you provide. Uploading forged, misleading, or fraudulent documents is a violation of these terms and may result in account termination.

When you initiate a reference check, you confirm that you have the right to provide the contact details of your employer or previous landlord and that you authorize us to contact them on your behalf.

Acceptable Use

Use Homematch for its intended purpose — finding a home. The following is not permitted:

• Gaining or attempting to gain unauthorized access to the platform
• Republishing content from the platform (photos, texts, listings) without permission
• Using the platform for illegal activities
• Harassing other users or violating the rights of third parties
• Providing false or misleading information in your profile or applications
• Attempting to damage, disrupt, or interfere with the platform's operation
• Spreading viruses, malware, or other harmful software

Reporting

You can report listings that appear fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise problematic. Reports are reviewed by our team. We may remove content or take action against accounts that violate these terms.

Cancellation

You can delete your account at any time. When you do, your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may also delete your account if:

• It has been inactive for over a year
• We have reason to believe it is being misused
• You violate these terms

We will notify you before taking action. If your account is deleted for any of these reasons, creating a new account is not permitted.

Liability

We operate the platform with reasonable care. Liability for indirect or consequential damages is excluded, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.

Advertisers are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their listings. We do not guarantee that you will find a rental through the platform.

We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Downtime caused by force majeure, third-party failures, or unforeseen technical issues is outside our control.

Intellectual Property

All content on the platform — design, code, and text — is the property of peak intelligence AG unless stated otherwise. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use without prior written permission is not permitted.

Data Protection

We follow the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG). Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms — you agree to it when you sign up.

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by Swiss law, excluding conflict of law provisions. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the competent court at the registered office of peak intelligence AG.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be communicated before they take effect. The version on this page is always the current one.
