The Lehenmatt Quarter
Our property is located in the Lehenmatt quarter, on a cross street to the Birs, which in the summer invites you to bathe or take a walk to the Birsköpfli and the Rhine. Bus lines 36 and 37 offer a good connection in the direction of St. Jakob and Breite. For shopping, the well-stocked neighborhood store is available at the corner, and in December 2025, another grocery store will open. Kindergarten and primary school are easily accessible on foot.
The House
The pretty, well-maintained old building is part of our cooperative settlement on Birs-, Lehenmatt-, and Redingstrasse, where you have various common rooms available for communal use (seating areas, playgrounds, rentable guest studio, settlement meeting point, etc.). At the back of the house is the large, green inner courtyard with old tree stock.
The Apartment
We are renting a spacious 3.5-room apartment on the ground floor (rear side high ground floor) with the following features:
Entrance and hallway with parquet flooring
Living room with sunny loggia area and parquet floor
Modern, open kitchen with dishwasher and plenty of storage space
2 bedrooms with built-in closets and parquet flooring
Bathroom with bathtub / separate toilet
Original floor plan
Large balcony on the garden side (rear side high ground floor)
Basement compartment
Laundry room and drying room for shared use
On the ground floor of the property is the settlement meeting point, where occasional events take place.
Prior to moving in, a rent deposit of 3 months' rent must be paid into a tenant deposit account. This will be converted into cooperative capital at a later date. For this reason, we cannot accept tenant deposit insurance, etc.
We are a Cooperative
We wish to have open, communicative residents who appreciate the tolerant coexistence and generational mix of a cooperative and are willing to actively contribute to a community. Since we are also concerned about the sensible use of living space, we cannot consider individual persons for this apartment.
